How we handle your data?
The Information & Records Management Society (IRMS) is the controller of your personal data that is used for our conference. Revolution Events, who help administer our conference, is the main processor of your information. Contact details for both organisations can be found at www.irms.org.uk & www.revolution-events.com.

We collect and use your information in a mixture of our own legitimate interests as the conference organiser and under a legal obligation for your dietary or disability needs if you have them.
We will use the details you supply when reserving your place at the IRMS Conference to send you information about the event. This includes, programme updates, information on exhibitors and other special features which form an integral part of the event. We cannot rely on your consent to send you this as there will be things that crop up from time to time and changes we may need to make that we cannot anticipate. We will also use your information to create your access badge when you arrive at the event. We do not share your data with others unless we need to in order to deliver your attendance at our conference and we will never sell this information to others.
We do however seek your consent to let you know about future conferences and events which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
The bulk of your data is stored here in the United Kingdom, except for things like the Conference App (use of which is voluntary) where your personal data is stored in the United States.

Badge scanning
When you allow your badge to be scanned by or on behalf of an exhibitor or sponsor at the IRMS Conference you are consenting to your personal data being provided to that company (name/address/telephone/email), as submitted when registering for the event. They may use this data for things such as marketing their goods or services.
Booking Conditions
By proceeding with this registration, you are committing to placing an order to attend the conference at the charge shown above. Payment must be received to guarantee your place. If payment has not been received prior to the event then entry may be refused.
Cancellations must be made in writing to irms@revolution-events.com. Cancellations made up to 60 days prior to the event will refunded in full, less bank charges and an administration charge of £100. Cancellations made less than 60 days prior cannot be refunded. Substitutions can be made at any time. These terms replace the relevant sections of our standard Terms & Conditions.
Please note that cameras may be present at the event as per previous years. The camera team will make themselves known and attendees not wishing to be filmed can make themselves known to the camera team so that they can be avoided.
